Diet for a bird with coccidiosis?

Hello all,

Hope all of you are doing great these days.

I am totally tensed these days as my birss are not feeling well. Some are moulting , load s of features all around. Not taking inteesti in food.

Others have a kind of undigested food in their poops. Very few tiny stoppings in a day. Some are too much smelly. Like sark greenish brown.

Chicks are not looking well too. They have diarrhea watery x, sometime satk coloured.

We have had coccidiosis issue some time ago , now I suspect its coming back again. Or might be some other illness.

Now what sort of feed I can prepare for birds with digestive issue. Coccidiosis.

Whenever I start an antibiotic , their crops start to have issue. I am totally confused. Either it's coccidiosis , bacterial infection or weakness.

I had few more questions in my mind . Any help will be highly appreciated!!!

Will enroflozacin work with intestinal infection ? Like necrotc enteritis , salmonella and others?

For coccidiosis , how long should be the treatment? Is amprolium a good choice for coccidiosis. I had given that to my rooster , he has severe weakness in legs and neck. How much time coccidiosis takes to eliminate from their system. He has crop issue as well. Should I give heim flagyl along with amprolium?

Coccidiosis is treated with corid. I don't have a dosage chart.

Can you see a vet?
What do you feed?
Do you provide grit?
Can you post some photos of the birds and the poop?
How old are they?

Where are you located in the world?

Enteritis and Coccidiosis are 2 different things, but can occur at the same time.

For Coccidiosis treatment would be Amprolium - show a photo of the product you have.
Enrofloxacin (Baytril) should treat Enteritis.

They have crop issues too? Any canker or plaques inside the beak or throat?

I would also give them some white cooked rice and a little buttermilk to help soothe the gut.

He has bright green poops. Watery in consistency. Yes , crop issue is there. It takes too long to digest. I took him to a vet , he did nothing even didn't provide me with the meficamedi. Not prescribed any tests.

Green poop can be from a number of things - from not eating to an indication of certain diseases.
Can you pleas provide more information and answer some of the questions asked in this POST?

Yes , I have started another thread. He haf bright green poops . And now almost white.
Coccidiosis came out to be negative I hope so . Will get report today. And post .

Check his crop in the mornings before he eats, it should be empty.
Provide your birds with plain boiled white rice mixed with buttermilk to eat for a couple of days and see if that helps. Ensure waterers and feeders are clean and feces free, remove and replace soiled litter and pick up and remove feces in the pens frequently. Add more sand in pens if havnt already done so.
