With conditioning, are greylag/domestic geese able to live entirely off of aquatic/bog plants and organisms found in them? Such plants include duckweed, misc sedges, potamogeton, ceratophyllum, etc? A fair amount of grass, and small amounts of commercial feed will also be provided.

Some species, such as Canada geese, yes, but everything I could find about greylags almost exclusively states that greylags feed on grass, and terrestrial plants. I wish I lived in their natural range, so I could simply go outside and look for myself :(.

That would be nice. My geese [2] haven't any grass to graze on they have to rely on me to bring them greens from the grocery. We live on such rocky terrain with not much soil depth plus chickens that grass will not grow here. I think they can adapt if they have to. My oldest is 11 yrs and never been sick his mate is 6 yrs same never been sick.
