Difference btwn Ameraucana/ EE???

We bought 4 pullets from a Feed Store (reputable in our town). They are 4 wks. old now. I was told they are:

2- Amercaunas
1- Black Giant
1- Barred Rock

Now...I'm wondering about the Ameraucanas...because I see a lot of confusion/mixed notes on BYC about Ameraucanas and EE. How do I tell which of the two mine are?

They are probably EEs esp. if they get their chicks from a hatchery. The feed store is probably selling them as the hatchery identified them. Usually you can only get true Ameraucanas from a private breeder.

If you post pictures I'm sure someone can ID them for you.

There is nothing wrong with EEs ~ I have both EEs and Ameraucanas and like them both.

If you got them from a feed store- definitely EEs. I have some EEs also and LOVE them - they're a lot of fun.

For more information on Ameraucanas, you can go to www.ameraucana.org. They need to be a specific color and type to qualify.
