Differences EE, Ameraucana, & Araucana * Pls post pics*

Pics
Here is a pic of my EE, Boots. She has feathered feet but you can't see them in this picture. She does have Araucana in her so she doesn't look like most other EEs I have seen (which have Ameraucana in them instead of Araucana.) I was told that her mother is a real Araucana that the lady does show but that a Cochin had mated with her by accident. I used to call her an Araucana crossbred but have gone to calling her an EE. I also have an EE that is Buff with Black markings but I don't have a pic of her at the moment. She looks more like a regular chicken with a tail but she has the tell-tell muff and green legs and lays a pretty minty green egg.

Some day I am getting my hands on a true Araucana. I also love the black Ameraucana but for now my 2 EEs make my happy

Are you referring to this chicken? Here's an updated pic of her (taken yesterday) I've been editing for my site. I was also thinking of tossing her onto the color chart... though I'm not sure what her coloring is called.

So that's "Partridge" coloring? Well, awesome! I now know the official term for the coloration on ONE of my chickens!

She hasn't started laying yet, but I'll keep an eye out. She's got the pea comb, so there's a very good chance it will be a green/olive egg. It wouldn't be blue if her other parent was a Welsummer, since they lay very dark brown eggs, correct?

This maybe the greatest thread ever. I have just got two EE's(one green egg, one pink) and I love them. I am going to work on a cuckoo EE line, I have a Barred rock/american game roo that is gold duckwing cuckoo that I am going to cross on my green egger and then keep a bearded, pea combed cuckoo roo to use(once I test for the blue gene).

Go for it-they are absolutely stunning. I am a bit overdue on older juvie photos but here are some cuckooed, bearded chicks in blue and black and them some diff chicks 3 weeks later.
