Beware of the above link. The forum is hijacked by porn.

That website is meant as a joke, tongue-in-cheek, not serious at all. Johnny, I had the good fortune to see one of the Salmon cockerels in person. He was beautiful!

This is a fantastic thread! Thank you all for posting pics and information about EEs. I have 8 3-week-old chicks and I can't WAIT to see how they turn out. They change seemingly before our eyes, so what colors we thought we may get are of course completely different now. This is SOOO fun!!

OT, but Cetawin, your daughter is absolutely beautiful!! I envy her her long wavy hair!

My Blue Ameraucanas also came from the Bells last year, just before they sold out their stock. Barbara showed me the Salmons when I was picking up my chicks. Nice pic...but even more beautiful 'in person'! Congrats on getting their stock! I'm sure Barbara would be pleased that you're continuing to work on the line.

ETA: Ooppss...meant to say pics of my Blues are on page 1, post #9

These are what I call Salmon EE's.

I'm sorry I haven't read all of this thread.....there's a lot of it.

Those are pretty birds ....Is there a reason why you call them Salmon? From what I can see, I expect one could reproduce that colour without too much trouble....though possibly not using EEs.

Oh & white skin is dominant which means the yellow skinned birds will not carry the white skin gene but the white skinned birds can carry the not white skin (yellow skin) gene without it being visible.

wow, gorgeous birds everyone! I got three EEs from the feed store the other day, but I don't know what hatchery they came from. I'm trying to guess what color they will feather out, AND what color their eggs will each be. does anyone have pics that show their EEs as babies, hens, and then the eggs that each lay? that would be GREAT!

I was never very interested in the colored-egg layers but WOW.....those bright blue eggs! And those GREEN legs! And those look-like-some-extinct-island-bird ones with no tail! And all those pretty colored birds!
I'm impressed.

I think I want one.
