Hey everybody! I have a question about laying feed.
First I want to talk about laying age. I have White Leghorns, Ameraucanas, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Sliver Laced Wyandottes, and Golden Laced Wyandottes. They are all 14 weeks old. I’m getting some mixed answers on laying ages. The two most popular answers are:

1. My Leghorns will start laying in 2-3 weeks and my others will lay in 2-3 months.

2. They will all lay around the same time, no matter what breed.

If #1 is true, then will I switch over to laying feed for the whole flock? Or would I give just the Leghorns laying feed. If so, how? Any advice is appreciated! :)

Number 1 is true. But don't switch over to layer feed once the leghorns start laying. It could hurt those who aren't laying, instead offer oyster shells off to the side until all of them start laying. Then switch over to layer feed.
