Ok. So I have one chick due to hatch on Monday under my broody.
I have been looking around for ads for day old chicks because I don't want the chick to be on its own.
ALL I can find someone who will have chicks that are a week old by the time my chick hatches.
Would it work for my hen to raise them a week apart? I was planning on putting them under just after the other chick hatches.

Thank you.
I will wait to see what anyone else thinks before making a decision.
Not sure whether I should wait a couple of days after the chick hatches so that it's a bit more robust.

You should be fine, I'm not an expert though lol. I have a brooder now with chicks ranging for 3 weeks to less than 1 week. Everybody is doing just fine in mine, no behavioral issues.

Well I have just gone ahead and bought them. One Cuckoo Maran, one Light Sussex. Five days til my buff Orp hatches.
Thanks for your replies
If the hen won't accept them or they don't get on, I do have another broody as backup. At the moment they are under a heat lamp. They are such noisy little cheepers.
