I have a 7 week old chick and I'm thinking the two new chicks I got are just a hair younger. Probably 6-7 weeks. They still have fuzzies on their heads but it's almost gone. I also have a bantam rooster who is young yet (just started crowing) and I just got him. They are all eating Dumor chick starter. I give them chick grit also but they get to run in the grass all day in the little coop I got at tractor supply. I haven't given them too many table scraps just yet. What do I feed them next and when? Grower? Now?

You have many choices.

You could keep them on Starter (non med) right until maturity. You can switch to a quality Grower at around 16%-18% protein or you could feed an All Flock products or Flock Raiser, as Purina calls it. These are often 20% protein.
Any or all of these would work just fine.

Is there specific brands that are better in your opinion? I got Dumor brand chick starter just because that's what was at tractor supply at the time.

Personally, I've tried lots of "brands" and also tried some locally ground feeds from our local mills. I just cannot afford to pay the prices of TSC and other type rural stores. Some of this is trial and error. Some of this is your convenience factored in and the preferences of your birds as well.

I get a high quality feed from our local mill for far, far less per hundred pound bag. Shop around, use coupons, do what you've gotta do to feed them well and still be able to afford to do it.
