When I need to blend chicks of different ages, (these are 9 days apart) I have used this technique before. The brooder box is an old wood sink cabinet it is pretty good size. I have taken a cardboard box, and put wire on one side, and placed it in one side of the brooder. The chicks of different ages can see each other but not touch, like what you would do with older chicks and adult hens, but a smaller scale. The nice thing about this is the young chicks can also see the older chicks eating.
