So I’ve realised a problem, since I just got my new chicken who is already laying she requires a layer pellet. Although my other chicken is younger and hasn’t laid yet and is still on a growth pellet.
How do I give two different feeds to two different aged chickens in the same pen? We don’t want them separate, my current chook is getting so lonely so we want her to have someone to talk to straight away (we snuck her in at night, listened for a bit and everything was fine).
Also is it bad if a chicken who hasn’t laid yet eats layer pellets or a chicken who is laying eats growth pellets? Should I just mix the two foods?
