I have a Silkie Roo, none of the other hens- or RIR / EE mixed Roos bother him.
Maybe it's just me , but it seems like the white birds aren't bothered like the rest.
As for meat birds, I've never raised any of mine for meat, mine are all pets that I love dearly. From what I've heard meat birds get big quick, they say if they're not culled they'll die anyway, not sure if that's true or not though...
If I were you I would look into getting them as pets first, and see how that goes.
