Years ago I had a problem with a neighbor helping himself to our eggs. I had no problem giving them to him but he would just help himself. We even caught him on a game cam. Well now we have birds again and the same problem. Added is our new neighbors that cannot afford much and have also been helping themselves. I would give eggs out if asked but pride is a you know what. Either way it is a matter of principle and will install our new lock tomorrow. Only one getting eggs will be me and the family unless asked. Anyone else have these issues?

Hmmmm... maybe that's what's happening to all those eggs people report missing in this forum? It's such a mystery for many, they can't figure it out. Eggs go missing and there is no sign of a predator and no hidden nests of any kind anywhere.

I don't have this problem myself but caught your post. Can you just leave eggs on their doorstep unannounced? Sneak up there and leave them, sort of how they sneak into your coop and take them?

On the bright side padlocks are priceless. No entry means my eggs go where I want them to go. Almost thought about an electrified knob but decided against it. My luck I'd shock my kid or wife, that just wouldn't be in the good spirit of things.
