Different egg sizes

OK for the first couple of weeks of laying my three leghorns were laying large size eggs then one of them started to lay a jumbo egg (double yoked) layed about six of them and now today one layed an egg that is smaller then a ping pong ball, any body got an answer to why this is happening ? By the way one has stopped laying so I am only getting 2 eggs a day. Had a good run for 4 weeks of 3 a day.

It just happens when they're new. Weird things happen to older birds now and again, too, but it's very common when they just start to lay == like any new factory, there are always some kinks to be worked out of the equipment on the line.

The small egg could have no yolk or no or little white. It happens at times.
