different hatch dates in the same incubator

I keep mine going all the time! Honestly it hasnt been off since I bought it.
I have 7 hatching today, 4 to hatch Saturday, and about 18 started yesterday.
All in the same 1588. I plan to add more tomorrow to fill the empty slots.
(mustnt never have empty slots!)
Those that are hatching are placed in a swiffer mop pad box (no lid) inside the closed bator with damp paper towels. I have to hand turn the others during a hatch but otherwise it works! and the bator itself stays clean! 3 hatched today and 4 pippin n zippin!
ONE DAY I will get a hatching bator. For now I am grateful for what I have!
So yes I mix up my hatches! The hard part is in 3 months when I have to remember whos who and when! My daughter is better than me at that one!

I haven't been able to get the humidity in my bator to stay over 55% since I got the thing. As far as the bacteria goes, I don't worry about it that much. I mean, it's not like the hen washes her feet, after she goes traipsing through who knows what, before she goes back on the nest!

thanks for the info

lots to think about... to buy more eggs or to wait

True but just raise it for 2 days, the time of the day they pip, and day they hatch.

Not much harm.

Thats what I was worried about and why I got another incubator, because of the humidity having to be upped during the hatch.

Uh-oh, you mean I can add more eggs!?!?!?
