Different kinds of beddings.

Ok I use the pine shavings and I have one hen that scratches all the shavings out of all 6 boxes! beside the shavings what can I use so she doesn't do this any more and the eggs are layed micely and not broken also.

Straw is recommended in the nests. Also, you can try putting up a board of some sort that covers part of the entry to the nest so bedding doesn't as easily fall out.

I have used straw in th epast but it doesn't break down as wellas shavings do. I have also thouht about covering up the fronts more and the backs of the boxes. I can get the eggs from the back also. I'll post a few pix soon. Thanks
