Different types of wire for rabbits floor? What did you use?

What kind of wire do you use as the floor in your rabbit's hutch?

I used a heavy duty hardware cloth that I bought at Southern States (our local cooperative here) and have added a house that they can go into and get on top of so they can rest their feet.

Most commercial cages us 1/2 X 1 welded wire

We have hard wire on the bottom, doubled. Then in the center I made an elevated area for nesting. They have a ramp to get up to it.
Of course they are actually living in my wood pile. Whenever I get a posse together we will get them put up and a lock put on so little fingers won't be opening their cage again!

I have always used ½x1 and all wire ( no wood frame ) hung the cages with clothes line wire from rafters of a shed or shelter .
If you use wood in building the cage keep all of it out of the inside of the pen ,, they will eat it.
