Digging holes around the EDGE of the run/under coop??

I had a black Ameraucana named Midnight as my profile picture, but changed it to my Phoenix Roo.
Some of the others on my page are EEs I used to have.

The same thing is happening here. Yesterday my daughter told me there was a chicken out. She saw it from the kitchen window. We don't let them free range because of our dogs. We locked them in the house. I went out to see how she got out and I suspect it was from dirt bathing. It led to "hey, I could get out!" I put the chicken back in the coop and covering the holes. There was another hole started on the other side of the run. I put chicken wire against the run and on the ground. Then some wood. It has worked so far. I check it daily to be sure.
