Diggy Holes

I went to feed my chickens to notice that there are holes in the ground that weren't there last night. No, it wasn't preditors it was my chickens. What should I do to prevent them from deystroying my land?

Chickens dig holes for dust bathing. I have a box in the run with sand and dirt in it for them but they still dig holes next to it. You can try to give them places to dig and stuff to scratch around in in the run it may help but won't stop them completly. It is in their nature to scratch and dig. the best you can do is fence them in or out of places you don't want them in.
