I picked up 3 for upcoming bator use today at Wally World, & they seem to be pretty good. You can visit http://www.springfieldprecision.com/ and type 91551 into their product search for a pic.

They all hold to within a couple tenths of a degree temp, and showed 31,32 & 33% humidity in the kitchen this PM, so they're not far off for the price.

They also record the highs & lows since the last "reset".

Fine for indoor, 'bator, or other use where it doesn't go below 14 degrees F (we're banging "0" upside the head these nights

, so can't use it outside!).

Just in case you need an affordable gauge - Hope this helps!

I bought both of mine at Walmart in the hardware dept. In the kitchen section they have the temp ones but not the one that checks temp and Hum. So go to the hardware dept.

Yeah........I have that same one and it seems to be working great! It is over by the paint/hardware section on the aisle with the ceiling fans/smoke detectors/etc.....

That's another reason why I bought 3 . . .
and reported their relative accuracy here.

WM is notorious for taking things back, BTW

Isn't it amazing, the similarity of Big Box Stores across the country?
I could probably take a pic of the aisle, with an arrow pointing to the product, and post it here for you to find in your local store.

Sad, in a way . . .

I have one of those and I have used it but I did find the humidity on my to be off by 4 points. Just make sure you put in a new battery with each hatch and if you are in doubt about temp at all go with a slightly lower temp. even one degree for the course of 21 days can affect your chicks development.

I like that little unit as it fits inside the incubators very nicely.
