Digital Thermomitor/hygrometer question

How have you survived?!?!?!?! My new incubator comes today and I will probably tear the Fedex man apart trying to get at it, I doubt the box it is in will make it to the steps of the house!

been thinking of you, Impress

If I hear distant screams of joy from the southern horizon, I will know your 20 eco has arrived!

What the heck are you waiting for. Just go to Walmart and get an Accurite no biggie. Follow the directions that come with the incubator and don't mess with it. You can adjust humidity by the vent plugs 58-60% for the first 25 days, remove turner, raise humidity to 65% maybe a little more. And Whala baby keets by day 28. I can't stress the importance of following the instructions, you know they test those things, I wish I would have my first few times, Lots of money down the drain. Good luck and hope to hear you have baby keets. I want quineas now.

what michele said. there is also the Springfield digital thermometer/hyGrometer at Walmart, too. Not expensive and very nice.

Did you hear the screams of joy? I'm working on getting the temperature steady at the moment, luckily it was a young fit delivery man so I didn't damage him too much!

Its nice but doesnt go up to 95 percent humidity. Thanks still looking I may have found one .... but here comes the dumb question does the whole meter go inside the incubator or can you use just the probe on the end of the cable.

The one I found is in the granger catalog. initially I like looking at Granger because it gives the specifications and operating limits of a product.... then I find one somewhere that sells it for less. So don't be surprised at the price tag. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/EXTECH-Hygro-Thermometer-With-Alarm-5PE71?Pid=search I have found the very same one elsewhere for under fifty. They just dont show the tolerance specifications.

If it has a probe I am pretty sure you can just put the probe in and run the actual device outside. I got mine at Petsmart, it's for exotic amphibians or some crap but it has a huge range and works great!

So that WAS you. I thought i heard, underneath the soft cooing of the hens, something like a mix of a loon's call, a fisher's scream, a coyote's wild wail, and a laughing hyena............and i thought, 'what the heck?..............OH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.........................'
i didn't see anything in the news about murdered mailmen, so i figured you had just screamed and hadn't done too much physical harm.

congrats to you. let us know how things go. even pm me if you don't start your own hatch thread. mine still aren't here yet...........

Hey I just got my eco 20 today! My husband keeps messing with me telling me they sent the wrong thing and it will only hold 5 eggs! He wishes!
