Chirping
we inherited a flock and we got what we have now figured out are jersey giant x Cornish hens. They are 2 years old and about 8-10lbs. I know they are meat chickens and we are in the egg side of things. They seem to waddle when walking. 2 are ill with some sort of cough (isolated from the rest) but the two are healthy. I was wondering if it was humane to keep the birds or being they weren't ever designed to live this long should I put on my farmers cap and dispose of them? The ill ones are getting medicine but if by next week they aren't better there is no need to prolong the issue. They came to us sick because the powers moved and we took the whole flock. If it's not good to keep them alive then we will make the decision to cull. If it's ok then I think we will try to find a time later down the road to have them culled.
