I can’t wait till you can backtrack the vine. Maybe it’s a whopper pumpkin 🤔
It won't surprise me if it is. The Whopper vine was headed in that direction. It is still growing where the early pumpkins have about stopped growing.
 
A rough measurement shows the mystery pumpkin as the biggest pumpkin in the patch. It wasn't visibly the biggest 4 days ago.

It is at least 20" long, about 19" wide and about 16" tall. I would guess that it is already over 100 lbs.

There is another about ten feet back up the vine that is smaller and growing quickly. A couple of days ago it wasn't big enough to be noticed. Today it is.
 
Just checked the monthly weather forecast. Unbelievably they are not predicting any frost through the first week in October. Of course that can change without any warning.

I did have one year a long time ago here where it didn't freeze until the end of October but that is unusual.
