Planted the pumpkins in the garden this morning.

Information says that pumpkins should have a soil pH in the 6.5 to 6.8 range. Mixed one cu. ft. of peat moss in with the "soil" in each hole. Added mychorrizae.

Will sprinkle some azomite and fertilizer and give a sprinkle of water.

Lining the tubs with the empty bags made it really easy to lift the plants out intact and slide right into the hole.

As I was spreading 30% N fertilizer I noticed male blossoms on Cinderella's Ride. Unfortunately the female blossoms were already done. Fortunately there are both male and female blossoms developing and both sexes should be open at the same time.

I did use a couple of the male blossoms to attempt to fertilize female blossoms that were open on other varieties.

At this time there are no blossoms on the Whoppers.
