Dirt bath recipes?

Hi! I bought my girls the dust bath attached from amazon (chickie-whiz), what can I mix it with to make the bath for them or do I just use what's in the container? What recipes do y'all use?

I would add Play sand from your local hardware store. Its a finer sand than your typical. Just make sure its always dry and clean of their poop.

One time I spent ages researching dust bath mixes, I went the whole hog, diatom, herbs, builders sand, wood ash.
They ignored it and went for the soil under my hydrangeas instead

This is what I always think when someone asks about a dirt bath. But, I was once there when I thought it had to be something special.
