Just had to share this one! Thank goodness I had read on here previously about chickens taking dirt baths because I just went outside to check mine and one of them was flopping around on the ground. If I hadn't known they do this I would of thought she was dying, lol! It was a very funny thing to see and very strange looking but she stood right up when I went in the run to give them their scratch, grit and oyster shell this morning. The ground is finally dry enough for them to do this and we were just talking about getting some sand for them so they can. Guess we don't have to worry about it anymore :)

I love when I walk out with treats and snacks and I see the hens who just took a dusting running up leaving a trail in the air. Always makes me laugh.

LOL! It is funny, Ruby (the chicken taking the dirt bath) did the same thing then shortly after shook just like my dog does. Chickens are so interesting and fun
