Dirt in Chickens Eye

One of our chickens has dirt in its eye, they are already vaccinated, there is a bit of bubbles on the eyes to. What do I do?. I don't know if I should clean it with water or what I should do with it. PLEASE HELP.

Use distilled water, you can also use hydrogen peroxide, & then distilled water after

Do not put peroxide in the eye please. Do you see any crust or swelling around the eye? You can clean the eye with saline or water, and apply some Terramycin eye ointment or Vetericyn eye gel (both from feed stores, and you will need to ask for them.) Are you seeing other signs of a respiratory disease, such as nasal drainage, sneezing, gasping, or rattly breathing? Welcome to BYC.
