Dirt? Sand? Rock? Help!

I have a question for y'all. I need to add some additional soil, sand rock to my run to fill in some low spots. What would be the best thing to add? Just regular old soil? Some sand? Small rocks? Pebbles? I am thinking either dirt or sand but wanted to get some other opinions. Fire away! Thanks.

the chickens would love any form of soil. They can dust in it, eat it, look for bugs in it. I did put rocks around the fencing in my run just for a little added protection.

Really, whatever you like best or can get most easily/cheaply is fine
