Dirty bottom won't come clean

I'll have to try the peroxide.

I have been using an eye dropper to get the warm water just where I want it to avoid soaking a large area.

I also have used my tiny embroidery scissors to snip off some problem areas that arent too close to the skin. I figure if I get rid of the longer fluff on problem chicks, there'll be less stuff for it to stick to.

I realize this was posted a long time ago but wanted to say how helpful this post was to me. Some of our four day old meat kings had very dirty bottoms so with the advice from here I tried the peroxide and it worked really well at fizzing the poop away. I used q-tips as I didn't have cotton balls, but cotton balls soaked in peroxide would have been much better, as I most times I had to pour the peroxide on the stuck-on poop areas. After getting the poop off, I dried them with a bit of paper towel, then with a q-tip I put a bit of grape seed oil on their bottoms. One had it stuck right to their skin poor little thing. Some pooped immediately when all was 'clear'. I'm glad I didn't wait on this one and appreciated the advice I got from this site. : )
