dirty bottom

I have a 7 new showgirl chicks. All doing well.

However, I have one that I have to continuously clean its bottom. Her poo builds up on her butt.

I had to trim her fluff to get the last build up off.

Why does it do this?

something in her food cause her to mess her bottom. when you said they are new, you probably changed their diet.

Being too warm can also cause it but being only one chick that's probably not the problem. Try adding some unfiltered ACV to their water or feed them some plain yogurt might help correct the issue.

They are only about 7 days old. I have only given them the chick feed so far.
