I have two golden comet hens and I've noticed that they have a lot of messy droppings sticking to their feathers on their backsides. They are perfectly healthy as far as I can tell and are laying beautiful eggs, one a day each (usually).

I was just wondering if this is normal or not (I'm still a beginner).

They have been cooped up all winter in my shed.

Any advice would be appreciated!

You can try washing it off or make a dusting bin for them.
