Hi. I have fertile eggs arriving tomorrow which I ordered from mypetchicken. I also received some from an eBay seller this morning. These eggs are dirty. I’m worried about contamination of all my eggs if I incubate them together as I had planned (I only have 1 incubator). Is there anything I can use to clean these eggs to attempt to hatch them with the eggs I assume will be clean from mypetchicken without the risk of contaminating all the eggs? Or am I just going to have to choose between the eggs I’ll be receiving tomorrow and these dirty eggs? Please help - any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This hatch of mine has dirty eggs (as they aren't mine, but purchased from elsewhere in the province) and 5 of the 7 were still developing well on Day 14. I didn't want to risk cleaning them as much of what I have read suggests that there isn't much benefit to cleaning the eggs in terms of hatch rate if they are only a little soiled like yours.

Thanks everyone so much I really appreciate the link to the info above as well. This is our first attempt at hatching, & my daughter is really hoping for at least 1 Buff Laced Polish Bantam Hen out of these eggs. Today I should also be receiving Ameraucana eggs, Mille Fleur d’Uccle Bantams & Silkies...we’re excited!
