dirty eggs

i can't remember but had posted about with all the rain sometimes my eggs are dirty or poop on them sometime. What do you all do to clean your eggs.
I gather mine when I get home from work and you can't always just brush them off. I often bring eggs to work and want them to look nice too.
I would love to know what some of you do to clean them. I heard you really shoulcn't wash them cause they have a natural coating that protects the longevity of the eggs. thank you for your help

I scrape them off with the back of a butter knife and wipe gently with a very barley damp paper towel. If they still look bad they go in the "feed" pile.

If it is dry and stuck on, you can use some fine grained sandpaper to get it off.
