From what I've read, alot of southern cities have that problem. Most of them are descendants of released game fowl (think cock fights). You've seen Key West chickens for sale here before, they're very similar in Miami, and in Hawaii, even southern Cali and Texas have some problems, but those 2 states have more predators than the Keys and Hawaii do (roadrunners aren't the only birds that coyotes like to eat)
