I was just wondering if there is anyway to get your white eggs whiter, I wash mine and sometimes they still have stains! Any suggestions?

Sorry can't really help ya. White eggs just stain easy.

I gather eggs every hour or so, I have fresh shavings in my nesting boxes that are off the ground and mine stay fairly white.

O.k , The clean shavings in the nest would work, if they would all lay in the nest! For some reason my Minorcas don't like to lay in the nest like the leghorns!?

P.S. Mrs. Fluffy Puffy where in the panhandle are you? I am in between Lubbock and Levelland?

I was having the same problem with my white eggs and have found that washing them in lukewarm water ( under running water, not soaking) with the sponge that has the green scrub on one side works great. Use the green side and lightly scrub the stains and they will be removed. It's the easiest way I have found yet.

I have fake eggs in my nests. The pullets got the hang of it really fast and now lay all their eggs in there. I've never had Minorcas before, so can't help you w/ that.

I had a Brown Leghorn once, but that was a long time ago.

You live about 2 hours away from me. We live between Madador and Childress, or Roaring Springs.
