Parody is a bantam mix-breed chick that hatched around June 1. He was sideways in the egg so I assisted him partially and found that he was stuck in an odd position. Whether he was that way due to his deformity or it caused his deformity I'm not sure. I put him out with his mother, noticing the way his foot was shaped but thinking it would stretch out now that he was out of the egg. After a couple days I realized he was still crawling instead of walking upright. It's now been a few weeks and while he eats and drinks fine, he still can't walk very well and his mother and siblings have begun to perch at night, so he needs to sleep along in a cage.
Any suggestions as to how to make his life easier? I can't keep him inside, I already have foster kittens, dogs, cats, snakes, ect and some of my family have allergies. His leg won't straighten at the joint, but otherwise the foot works fine and he'll open and close it.
Here is how he stands
Here he is getting a drink.
This is how he sits when he gets tired from hopping
