Little backstory this is my first time hatching chicks. Put 6 eggs in a NR 360 incubator. 5 hatched with only 1 minor issue but that chick is fine. The last egg didn’t hatch till this afternoon and from reading on here that’s not too uncommon. The problem is the chick was born with a few birth defects. The eyes never fully developed. The top part of the beak is about 1/4 inch shorter than the bottom and it has a growth on the front of its head. I know this is all part of raising animals but it sucks.
So now I’m at the point where I feel it will be best if the chick is just put down. But I don’t know how to do that humanely. I’ve never dealt with anything like this. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. This little chick is a fighter but I don’t see it having a good life if it does survive

Can you send a pic?

Best case scenario: it dries up and falls off in a few days/weeks. For that to happen, you'll need to make sure she's getting food and water and the others aren't pecking her. Also, wait until she's fluffy to take her out.

Well right now it’s really not doing good. Hasn’t stood up and barely moved since it’s hatched almost 5 hours ago. I’m not expecting it to make
