hey yall so at my work we have chicks n ducks n yesterday we saw there was a duckling that was have a tough time. He has trouble standing without swaying as u can see but he can make the effort to walk enough to drink water and eat, I try to give him water through the day. He bobbs his head alot when drinking or eating. We are not selling him because of his condition and the manager says they are going to kill him or i can take him. My question is would it be worth it to save him? not sure what quality of life would be. Is this a neurological issue? can anything be done? ive been giving him vitamins in the water (nurti dench). anything helps !! :)

I would take him or her - why not try? If the issue is due to a nutritional deficiency, the duckling should show improvement. I think there's a reasonable likelihood s/he could have a good quality of life with some help.

S/he clearly has a will to live; if it were my decision, I would definitely give him or her a chance.

ETA: keep him/her comfortably warm and keep up the supplements 🙂

Best wishes!
