Disappearing Chickens!

I started out summer with 12 chickens and I got rid of my roosters just a little but ago (because of grief to the hens) some I think just didn't come back? Foxes? I spoil my chickens with healthy snacks, some are 6-7 years old that have disappeared. Are they just dying off because of age? I need help... I am now down to seven hens and I am worried I will lose more. HELP!

Is there a fence surrounding the place that they hang out in? Is the top covered?

By "didn't come back"..... I presume you are free ranging.

Are all the missing ones older birds?

I would think just about any predator out there could take a hen if he is ranging.

Photo black on my end, too. Definitely thinking predator, who will likeky come back and eventually get them all, unless you can protect them. Sorry. Can they becontained in a covered run for awhile? If roosters aren’t working for you, how about a livestock guarduandog like Great Puranees? Huge commitment, I know. Just throwing it iut there, since I don’t know your situation. Good luck!
