My turkey eggs are disappearing!! Momma is sitting on them-started with 8, now down to 2

She's in the cage with the tom and another female. I've caught him on her a few times, so maybe he's squishing the eggs...or some say it could be an animal taking them (Nothing is bothering the birds, chickens or turks)...HELP!! I've thought about seperating her...would that fix the problem if it's the tom? I was really excited about hatching babies so I would love to have some feedback on how I can fix this problem.

While it is possible that some birds will eat their eggs, however you should find some evidence of the egg being there. Snakes can swallow the egg whole leaving the birds alone, however trying to escape could prove difficult unless the entrance/exit hole is quite large.

I would be looking around to see if the hen or the tom is kicking the eggs out of the nest. Look to see if they could have rolled under something. Hopefully you will find the cause of the missing eggs.

One time I noticed shell in the middle of their coop , but when the chickens break one of their eggs, they eat it all. I only know they have done it because the other eggs have yolk on them. I'm thinking of seperating her. My only issue is that I don't have room in my backyard to build another cage. We've never had problems with any animals bothering the birds, but I hate to just have her sitting in the backyard at night. SIGH! Not sure...
