Disappointed in my americanas (easter eggers)

My EE is an eggcelent layer when she isn’t broody. She is currently giving me like 5 eggs a week. My new laying OE is laying 5-6 a week. I wish her hatch mates would get with the program and start to lay!!

Well maybe this chicken is just odd. I feed all 5 of my chickens the same food, oyster shells and some corn. She is the only one that doesn't lay much.
This answer is vague. Feeding them all the same feed and after saying you have a CA White the same age that doesn't lay every day is putting up a nutrition issue red flag. Chickens will lay even if fed poorly as it is a biological imperitive but to get best output requires best input.

As another poster mentioned, days have shortened. Pullets in their first winter normally lay through it but it can affect production. I use a light on a timer to add light in the morning and that doesn't prevent those that need to molt from taking a break but it does keep the hen break from being two or three months long.

All chicken DNA is a compromise as to feather color, plumage, egg production, comb type, and any number of other issues to numerous to mention here. Then there is hen health and a diet of corn and oyster shell will not result in very many if any eggs.
they are all free range, eat scratch and peck and no extra oyster shells. My other girls are great layers.. is she just a dud?
