Disaster out of the Gate

I got my eggs Monday Morning, Let them sit for 6 hours and after work put them in the Incubator (that had been running at a constant 99.5 for 3 days) that evening. Yesterday for some reason my A/C failed to turn on during the day and when i got home my house was 92 degrees inside, and the Incubator temp showed 106. I dont know how long it was at that temp, or if it was there long enough to cook the eggs thru, but I cooled it down last night and had it back around 99.5 to 100 after several hours and went to bed. Woke up this morning and it was back at 102. opened a vent and cooled it trying to regulate the Thermostat back to where it had sat for days.

How screwed am I? I guess wait 4 more days and candle to see if theres any veins in the eggs? or if i need to peel and eat them. lol.

Mine has spiked that high more than once during incubation and I still have chicks hatch, so all is probably not lost. As you said, wait a few days then candle them, I'll bet most will be developing. Good luck!

I just finished a hatch with the same disaster..my son put water on the top of the LG bator happened right before I had to leave the house for several hours..temp dropped to 80 then spiked sometime to 106 where I found it when I got back home(solid state don't tolerate water)...don't know for how long but we hatched 7 beautiful chicks out of 12 not the best but not a complete loss...

leave it to a "blackbird" to bring bad news... lol. Oh wait, thats a Ravens job isnt it? (kidding).
I have 40 eggs in there, so hopefully it took quite a while for them all to absorb that much heat and stablize, or maybe just the ambient air got to that, but because of their numbers (pack mentality) they never did get a real high core temp. OR it might of sped up their hatch date by a week or two. lol.

Anyway, I hate to think ive lost my White Crested Polish.
