Brace yourselves, we’re in lockdown. Air cells (if I can find it!) are looking ridiculous on the shipped eggs. Home eggs are dark and boring. I got the spare incubator going and separated the 8 shipped from the 6 home eggs. Tonight is day 14, most of my eggs hatch day 16 with a rare day 15 and a few day 17. Not sure if the shipped eggs will take a bit longer due to a week in the mail or not, at least I have control eggs to test that hypothesis! My final prediction is 4 shipped chicks and 6 home chicks, but it is amazing anything can hatch from those crazy air cell eggs! I’ll keep you posted, hopefully Fitzy hatches, I’m hoping for a nice rooster!
