disbudding goats

We are planning on disbudding our kids, but have never done it. Well, many moons agao back in 4-h. What is the best age to do it?

We do ours as soon as we can feel the little horns buds. Sometimes we do them as young as 3 days old, sometimes they might be a little over a week old since different babies have different rates of horn growth. The sooner you get it done properly, the less chance of scurs....

i usually do mine at 2-3 weeks.

Depends on the type of goat and the horn size...some 2-3 days old and some 2 weeks old...
