What about minnows? I know someone who owns a bait shop, would this be okay? Probably not much different than fish meal I would think....

Minnows would probably be good for ducks or other waterfowl. Fish can give your eggs and chicken meat (if you eat your chickens) A fish flavor, or odor. I could get into more details as to how I know this but it is not necessary.
