I noticed a few days ago that my rooster has some discoloration on the edges of his waddles. He's acting normal. He's eating fine. Most everything I looked up mainly talked about the comb but his comb is perfectly red. It almost looks like scabs on his waddles. Should I just wait and see if it goes away??

I live in South Texas and the lowest it's gotten here is 19°...is that cold enough for him to get frostbite? He's a Bantam Cochin. If it is frostbite, do I do something to treat him or will it go away?

As I said I live in South Texas where it's rare for it to get cold. It's supposed to drop to the 30s at nights though for a week. Any tips on how to keep my flock warm enough?

My chickens are fine in -52°F, so i think yours will be okay too. Don't worry. Just keep ventilation open and don't give them anything that steams.
