Discouraging Hawks

I just lost 2 today and I don't know how many yesterday since I wasn't home. I hung up pie plates all around the fence. Do you think that might help? I'll look for cds too. I had plenty of crows and mocking birds this summer but not many now. I do have 3 bluejays so I'll try to attract more. Peanut butter, someone said? Anything else? I'll fill the birdfeeders with food the songbirds enjoy.Thanks for the suggestions!
