Infestation of external or internal parasites are an issue. The logic is that all animals have a certain healthy amount of parasites. That nice kitty people have in their house has possibly internal parasites as it transfers them onto the kitchen counter and then the owner goes and makes a sandwich...
A few parasites are not an issue but infestation happens to animals that are failing.

For worms, may I suggest that you start having routine fecals done? @Sue Gremlin is willing to do them for free I think, you just have to mail the poop to her.![]()

Well, they can, tho can also be true that unhealthier birds have worse infestations(but which came first, unhealthy or bugs? could be either).Holy smokes..Generally healthy Birds don't get a total infestation...
