I JUST STARTED MY FLOCK OF GUINEA FOWL FROM DA OLDS, I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR FEET THEY HAVE TURNED PURPLE AND STARTED SWELLING AN WON'T STAND FOR TO LONG THEY ARE ABOUT 4 WEEKS OLD AND HOUSED WITH MY FLOvariety of egg layers baby chicks that are about about 5 weeks old some are displaying signs of curly toe I changed their feed and the discoloring and swelling has spread through the whole flock of GuineaS WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP AND , OR REVERSE THIS
 
Guineas need a higher protein feed than chick feed, such as game bird crumbles.

Have a look at their feet to see if they have anything wrong with them. Bumblefoot would present as a black scab usually on the bottom of their feet. It usually occurs from birds being raised in wire cages or rough terrain, but there are other causes too.

If they are getting curly toes at 4-5 weeks old, that's a vitamin deficiency. I would get some Poultry Cell for their water, and/or Rooster Booster granules for mixing in their feed. I don't know how many you have but they could all benefit if you gave each of them 1/4 of a Vit B-complex pill for a week.

If this doesn't start improving in a few days, you'll have to splint their feet so it doesn't become permanent.

You might be dealing with Footpad Dermatitis (FPD). Here's a link for you to read with photos:
