Coryza or MG??? HELP

It can be hard to contain respiratory diseases between flocks, since they spread by droplets in the air, on equipment, shoes, hands, etc. Use good handwashing, change shoes and clothing between handling flocks, and consider disinfecting equipment. 10% bleach water or Virkons S tablets mixed in water are some common disinfectants for farms.

I do not wear the same shoes. Each coop has their own designated shoes, I wash my hands and change clothes after each coop. I also have not used the same equipment since all of my birds got sick. You still think there is a strong chance that my new flock will get it?

Hopefully not. It is just hard to be 100% sure. MG can be passed on through hatching eggs. Wild birds visiting feeders and waterers can bring in diseases, especially if they were exposed from other chickens in your flock or a neighbors. We can’t always be sure that are chickens are never going to get a disease, just do the best we can in prevention.
