Fun roundworm fact: Sometimes hens will expel these worms and then suck them back up into the cloaca, where they will become incorporated into an egg.
Got it, makes sense...backsuction. It would have to be perfect timing for the egg and worm to be practically at the same place at the same time.The worm generally comes all the way out, and is sucked in by the hen right after she lays an egg (her cloaca actually sucks a little once the egg is expelled) so it's more of an environmental thing than an internal one.
